Katy Carr, nominated for a London Music Award in 2012, performs at the Royal Albert Hall together with Antonio Forcione Trio. Katy brings British and Polish communities together through her performances, and has recently received the Polish Daily Award for Culture. Expect to hear songs inspired by the WWII Polish experience, with image projections by kind permission of The Polish Institute and Sikorski Museum in London, The Warsaw Uprising Museum in Warsaw, Poland and The Royal Air Force Museum in Hendon, London.

Guitar virtuoso Antonio Forcione performs from his new album Sketches of Africa, an album full of “technical wizardry” and “across the board appeal” (The List).

With a mix of influences including jazz, folk, flamenco, pop and classical, he has developed a unique and exotic sound: a cocktail of dazzling virtuosity, ferocious rhythms and burning spiritual aspiration with a touch of humour. Antonio is joined by Anselmo Netto on percussion and bandolim and Matheus Nova on acoustic bass.

This event is presented with Songlines.

Paszport, Katy Carr's fourth album, is one of the most unusual, passionate and intriguing concept albums of the year. The Guardian
