St John's Smith Square and Tenebrae are delighted to announce the Holy Week Festival 2018 running from 26 March – 1 April 2018. St John’s Smith Square, one of London’s leading concert venues, will host workshops, ticketed concerts and free late-night liturgical events exploring a vast range of sacred music in celebration of Holy Week.

To mark the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining independence and to celebrate the 50th birthday of the celebrated Polish composer, Paweł Łukaszewski, the festival’s programme will feature his settings of the Tenebrae Responsories. These will be performed by the award-winning vocal ensemble, Tenebrae, directed by the Grammy-nominated conductor, Nigel Short, in a series of late-night liturgical events which are free for public to attend. This is supported by the Polish Cultural Institute in London and Adam Mickiewicz Institute.
