Katarzyna Malejka and Joachim Sługocki are two young Polish artists working in new media and painting respectively. Malejka is a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. She implements action in installations, looking for her own form of expression.  Sługocki, who completed his degree at the same university in Toruń in 2012, focuses primarily on painting, but is also interested in site specific installation and video art. He concentrates on finding relations between the visual and the space. Both artists are fascinated with the possibilities of working with the medium of light.

Horizontal Interference is a powerfully poetic, colourful cord construction  illuminated by night to create a striking spectacle and an installation where natural and manufactured elements merge together. Formed by a cords, wires and trees, moving in the wind, looks beautiful during the day and reveals its full glory once it gets dark.
