Born in Sandomierz, Poland. Elzbieta Owczarek lives and works in Warsaw. She graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Technology and Humanities in Radom, where she did her painting degree at the Studio of Professor Apoloniusz Węgłowski and an additional diploma in printmaking at the Studio of Professor Andrzej Markiewicz.  She holds a postgraduate degree at the Education Centre of Warsaw School of Economics and completed a full-time university programme at the University of Economics in Katowice. A member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers ZPAP – Warsaw, Painting and Graphic Arts Section. A member of the Management Board of the Association of Polish Painters and Graphic Artists. A member of creative groups: PositiveArt and VisualDance. She has participated in over a hundred group shows and had 20 individual exhibitions in Poland and abroad.  Her preferred forms of artistic expressions include painting, graphic arts, drawing and light compositions.  

'The art of Elżbieta Owczarek gives us an opportunity to take a pause in a particular context. It attracts us with its composition, space, and most of all, light and colour.
