Chopin Unwrapped - Kings Place

Polish Piano Trio

Polish Piano Trio

10 February - 5 June 2010
Kings Place
90 York Way
Islington, London, N1 9AG

Chopin’s entire oeuvre in all its elegance, poetry and brilliance is beheard in a series of recitals at Kings Place.

Chopin possessed an unrivalled knowledge of the piano and itspossibilities. He was a great innovator, and exercised a decisive influence on composers of the French, German and Russian schools well into the 20th century. These recitals will give the listener the opportunity to look afresh at and re-evaluate the work of a composer who has enjoyed enormous and unflagging popularity for nearly 200 years. Many will be surprised by the quality of the unfamiliar works.
