The members of the Silesian String Quartet are graduates of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice and have premièred more than 100 works, many of them Polish.

Here they champion Szymanowski’s partly folk-influenced Second Quartet (1927) and Grażyna Bacewicz’s neoclassical Fourth (1942).
