Virtuoso pianists from two different traditions come together on stage with live visuals for a unique and intimate artistic collaboration. Leszek Możdżer, acclaimed Polish jazz pianist and film score composer, joins Italian concert pianist Gloria Campaner for this one off performance at the Holt festival. They will be interpreting music by Prokofiev, Debussy and Chopin amongst others, taking the audience on a journey through a rich and nuanced musical terrain. They will be further joined by Italian video designer Luca Scarzella, providing live projections and visuals to create a truly special multi-sensory experience.
Leszek Możdżer is a shining light of the contemporary international jazz scene, with a career dating back to 1994, when he debuted with the daring and beautiful ‘Chopin Impresje,’ reinterpreting the music of Chopin in a jazz idiom. He is an exemplary product of the thriving Polish jazz tradition, and dedicated his sublime 2013 collaboration with Swedish bassist Lars Danielsson and Israeli percussionist Zohar Fresco to his country of origin with the title ‘Polska’
