The School of Communication, Royal College of Art has the pleasure of hosting the London launch of two books, the Klimowski Poster Book, published by SelfMadeHero and Gyubal Vahazr or on the Uplands of Absurdity by Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz, published by the Polish-Japanese Academy of Digital Information in Warsaw. The latter has been dedicated, amongst others, to Nick Wadley whose posthumous exhibition Nick in Europe curated by Jasia Reichardt is opening on May 10 at 12 Star Gallery in London.

What links all the above is Graphic Design, Illustration and the work of Stefan and Franciszka Themerson who have exerted an artistic influence on the participants. This special evening is an opportunity for staff and students of the Polish-Japanese Academy and the RCA as well as their friends to meet and familiarise themselves with their work and their aspirations.

The books will be introduced by Andrzej Klimowski, Małgorzata Sady, Ewa Salatecka, and students of the Polish-Japanese Academy of Digital Information in Warsaw.

Supported by the Polish Cultural Institute in London.
