Heroic Facts and Creative Ideas: Centenary of Poland's Independence
10 April,4pm
The Buzz Theatre
BOOK NOW

In 2018 we celebrate a centenary of Poland's Independence. But it’s not only heroic facts and events that mark that special card in history of our country. That card has been written by average people, whose courageous and sometimes really creative ideas and actions build future of the next generations of Poles, of Europeans. We would like to give voice to those brave men and women, tell their story, of how it was to live in such a challenging moment in history. And survive. And regain hope.

How to Tell Children About History So That They Will Want To Listen?
11 April, 1pm
BOOK NOW

On 11 November 1918, bells rang out in European cities to announce the end of the war. One hundred years later, bells will toll again in the same cities, and there will be military parades and exhibitions commemorating these events. Numerous books will be published, including those aimed at children. How should we tell children about these events? How can we attract their attention?  How can we convey the atmosphere and feel of times when possessing a car or phone was a luxury? What’s more important – the dates, or the events themselves and their consequences? And finally, what kind of impact can an illustration in a historical book have on a child?
