25th edition of a world and the UK’s leading premier documentary festival, celebrating the art and business of documentary and all non-fiction storytelling. Each year Sheffield Fest/Doc welcomes over 30 000 festival goers, including 3500 delegates from over 60 countries.
The festival shows the best documentary screenings, hosts talks and sessions with high profile speakers and social events for networking purposes. It is an unique opportunity to explore documentary but also to discover new talents, start new colaborations and meet innovative filmmakers and producers.
This year the public has a chance to see two premiers, promoting Poland. Home Games is a movie produced in Ukraine, France and Poland, and tells the story of Alina, a 20-year-old girl from Kyiv, which has to choose between football or family. Over the Limit, directed by Marta Prus and produced by Maciej Kubicki and Anna Kępińska, ia an interesting insight into a young female athlete couched by two generations of women.
